U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Forecast Systems Laboratories

I worked at the U. S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), in the  Forecast Systems Laboratory (FSL), Systems Development Division (SDD) and Modernization Division (MD) from December 1998 to June, 2000.  During that time I worked for three different contracting companies.

The started out working for Gonzales Consulting Services, Inc. (GCS) in December, 1998.  In June, 1999, the contract with GCS ended and the contract was awarded to Systems Research Group, Inc. (SRG).  SRG sub-contracted with System Technology Associates, Inc. (STA) for the System Administrators in the SDD and MD divisions.  I worked for STA from June, 1999 to June, 2000.  In June, 2000, SRG dropped the contract with STA and I was shifted to work under SRG.  I left SRG at the end of June, 2000.

My Dungeon

While I was working in SDD and MD, I was using a Hewlett Packard C-240 Visulize workstation as my main node.  I also had a Dell Precision 210 PC workstation running Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Server.  Additionally, I had a Dell Optiplex GXPro PC as a Redhat Linux 6.2 testing workstation.  I had an old Sun SPARCstation 2 that I use for Solaris 7 configurations.
